"Le mie mancanze" was born on a day in June like this: I'm watching Miriam, my dance teacher, dance while seated on a support I can't see. Her dance, her movements, her body are filled with an inner strength that I sense transcends human limits.

Then, I perceive a lack.

I don't see the support on which Miriam is sitting, and I imagine it to be a wheelchair.

Thus, the idea of working on lacks is born, which, if denied, create barriers, walls, and ghosts within us.

We may or may not find a solution to overcome that shortcoming, but it's not crucial to have the solution; what matters is to have the desire (which can only arise from a lack) to overcome it and trigger a process of transformation and, therefore, growth.

In the temporary studio of "Spazio Non Disponibile," "Le mie mancanze" aims to engage the audience in an emotional experience on multiple levels through visual narratives, videos, photographic posters, and live performances by Miriam Bonaccorsi, all accompanied by sounds specially created by DJ Diego Burroni
