Nicolaquinto Italia’s showroom will host a unique event combining art and design, featuring the innovative FILO technique developed by artist Mariia Plekhova. During the open studio and artist talk, guests will witness how everyday items like sofas are transformed into works of art through their symbiosis with traditional paintings. This groundbreaking technique brings to life new forms of artistic expression, where art becomes an integral part of daily life.

The artist will provide an immersive virtual reality experience, allowing participants to explore her paintings from the inside through VR technology. Additionally, Mariia will lead a VR painting workshop, offering the chance for guests to directly engage with this innovative form of art.

The FILØ project is a collaboration between Mariia Plekhova and Nicolaquinto Italia, aiming to democratize art and create an accessible environment for interaction with it. By combining traditional paintings with furniture design, the function and meaning of everyday objects are redefined and transformed into artistic elements.

A collection of sofas in symbiosis with the paintings will be showcased in the heart of 

Rome at the Nicolaquinto showroom. Each artwork extends into a virtual dimension, where guests can fully immerse themselves using VR glasses.

The aim is to make art a part of everyday life. Constant interaction with these objects allows individuals to experience art on a deeper level, making it an integral part of their reality. Thus, life itself, surrounded by such artworks, becomes a work of art.
