IN LOVE WITH THE STREETZ

Photo exhibition by Amil Tha CLKRS

"IN LOVE WITH THE STREETZ" is a project that explores the soul of the street, a place where unwritten rules define life, and where each person finds their role. The street is not just a physical passage, but a microcosm that reflects the experiences, challenges, and aspirations of those who live it every day.

This project aims to tell the stories that intertwine in this urban context, offering an intense and multifaceted visual representation of the culture that develops between asphalt and concrete. From faces marked by hardship and life's scars, to the artistic expressions of graffiti artists and tattooists—figures who transform the street into a canvas and, through their graffiti and tattoos, become the narrators of its raw and vibrant energy.

Another focal point is the Ruff Ryders, born in Harlem in 1988, who since 2004 have brought the influence of hip hop culture to Europe, combined with stunt riding and extreme motorcycling. Their connection to the street is unbreakable: the asphalt becomes their stage, where hip hop and a passion for motorcycles merge, expressing a unique vitality that only those who live the street can fully understand.

"IN LOVE WITH THE STREETZ" also delves into the concept of the "streetz sider," people who find their survival and identity in the street. These individuals live the asphalt as an essential element of their lives, a constant that accompanies them in their search for self-sustenance and redemption. The project celebrates the authenticity and strength of those who find in the street not just a place, but a way of life.
