Simone Geraci | La stagione che tarda ad arrivare

As part of the Rome Art Week, the Edarcom Europa gallery inaugurates the exhibition of Simone Geraci, curated by Francesco Ciaffi and Roberto Sottile.

On Friday 18 October at 5:30 pm, the Edarcom Europa gallery, in via Macedonia 12 in Rome, inaugurates "La stagione che tarda ad arrivare", a solo exhibition by Simone Geraci.

The exhibition, curated by Francesco Ciaffi and Roberto Sottile, hosts, for the first time in the gallery's exhibition spaces, the work of the young artist from Palermo, whose paintings are characterized by a refined research on monochromes, elegance and timeless delicacy of the female body and faces.

Roberto Sottile, in the presentation in the catalogue, observes "Simone Geraci's work stands out for its ability to explore humanity in its most introspective essence, offering a delicate and profound look at the interiority of man. In his canvases, the border between real and imaginary dissolves, in a game of references between physical presence and conceptual dimension. The image itself becomes real and at the same time is sublimated with the landscape, creating a fusion between body and environment, between thought and space, which transforms the work into an immersive experience."

The exhibition, included in the programming of the 9th edition of Rome Art Week, will be open to visitors with free entry until 9 November 2024.
