ADN ROMA
All Roads

ADN ROMA proposes a contemporary encounter between nine Argentine artists and a city that, in many ways, is part of the construction of our cultural identity.
Mario Martínez, Gabriela Anselmo, Regina Linares, Agustina Minuto, Fer Zannol, Tere Obregón, María Faraone, Adriana Tuliano and Marcela Chichizola take part in this edition of Rome Art Week at ContArt Gallery, bringing together different languages, materials and artistic practices. Their works do not seek to reconstruct a shared past or establish a genealogy, but rather to reveal what the encounter between cultures is capable of generating and transforming.
This time, it is the artworks that cross the Atlantic.
Their participation in Rome Art Week therefore takes on a particular dimension. For one week, Rome unfolds its artistic scene, transforming spaces, galleries and institutions into places of encounter with contemporary artistic production. The city reveals itself in all its uniqueness: a place where centuries of history and culture coexist with a creative present that continues to question, produce and transform.
It is within this dialogue between an extraordinary history and a present still in constant construction that ADN ROMA finds its meaning.
The artists arrive from Argentina carrying with them the traces of an exchange that has crossed generations and that today forms an inseparable part of the way we speak, create, relate to one another and understand the world. The Italian element thus emerges not as an evocation or a quotation, but as an integral part of an Argentine identity shaped through encounters, movements and transformations.
The works brought together in this exhibition make this diversity visible. Each, through its own language, offers a singular experience; together, they create a scene in which different Argentine sensibilities enter into dialogue with Rome from the perspective of the present.
Perhaps this is precisely why arriving in Rome feels somehow inevitable.
Because some roads begin long before we decide to walk them.
