Dialogue: East and West between Spiritual Life and the Material World

The University of International Studies of Rome – UNINT, in collaboration with the AAIE Center for Contemporary Art and the UNINT Confucius Hall, is organizing the event "East and West: Between Spiritual Life and the Material World," which will be held on October 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM in Room 21.

 

The event features a dialogue between artists Liao Junwei and Armando Gioia and curator Mariano Cipollini.

Liao Junwei is an independent artist originally from Hunan, living in Shenzhen. His pictorial research, exhibited in international museums and biennials, explores the dialogue between spirituality and the material world. Armando Gioia is an artist from L'Aquila, active since the 1980s, who has exhibited in exhibitions and festivals in Italy and abroad. His work combines sign and memory with a strong ethical and poetic commitment.
