Installation presentation: URIHI A - A precarious balance

Synopsis of the work:

*URIHI A — A Precarious Balance* is an immersive visual and sound installation that explores the themes of ecological memory and species extinction from 1500 to the present day. The work translates the progressive loss of biodiversity into a flow of data, forms, and sounds, prompting the viewer to reflect on the fragile relationship between human activity and nature.

In the cosmology and language of the Yanomami people, *Urihi A* literally means "Earth-Forest": not merely an expanse of trees or a resource to be exploited, but a living entity—a complex, sacred organism that breathes, possesses a soul, and unites humans, animals, spirits, and plants into a single, vast ecosystem.
