In the bowl, I place…
Once, our stories spoke of hunters and warriors, but the story of life is older and deeper. It is the story of those who gathered and carried, of those who created containers to preserve and to share.
Join us to weave a story of care, of community.
Collective embroidery workshop inspired by "The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction" by Ursula K. Le Guin
For millennia, we have been told the story of the hero, the spear, and the kill. But there is another story, more ancient and necessary: the story of the container. A bag, a net, a bowl to gather what is fragile, what nourishes, what must be kept for tomorrow.
Drawing inspiration from the words of Ursula K. Le Guin, we invite you to a day of shared creation. Together, we will give shape and color to a textile "bowl": not a weapon, but a womb; not a border, but a space of welcome.
What would you put in a bowl to build a peaceful world?
A memory, a wish, a fragment of cloth, or a colored thread. Every embroidery stitch will be a gesture of care, every added piece a contribution to the building of a common horizon.
Bring with you the desire to intertwine stories. A peaceful world is not conquered; it is gathered and cherished together.
