On Thursday, October 23, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a guided tour of MLNKV, an exhibition by the artistic collective Mastequoia, will take place at Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, accompanied by curator Giuliana Benassi and the artists.
Since 2004, the collective—composed of Gabriele Silli, Giacomo Sponzilli, and Carlo Gabriele Tribbioli—has collaborated on group projects in which their individual practices and paths intersect and overlap, sharing research themes, tools, and fields of action.
In this solo exhibition, Mastequoia presents a body of photographic, sculptural, and architectural materials centered around a character conceived through the appropriation and distortion of the figure of revolutionary Russian architect Konstantin Stepanovich Melnikov (Moscow, 1890–1974).
