Gaia Maria Galati was born in Rome's Prati district. A multifaceted artist, she has been writing poetry since the age of 12. She published a collection of poems titled "Il filo delle mie emozioni" (The Thread of My Emotions) for Roberto Sparaci's publishing house Acca Edizioni. She has written poetry and short stories for Historica, Dantebus, Mondadori, Aletti, ArgoLibro, Pagine, IVVI, and Verdepoesia, and has also written screenplays and song lyrics. One of her poems,
"I bambini speciali," the subject of a thesis at Sapienza University in Rome. She co-hosted the Radio Onda Libera program "Stai Con me," where she had a chance to recite her works until 2020. She received an award in Praiano for her photographic and poetic work, with her poem titled "La Pasqua," and received a special merit award at the Protomoteca in the Campidoglio in Rome. She alternates writing with photographic work, and is included in CAM n. 60 (2025), in the Arte magazine by Mondadori and Cairo Editori in February 2026, in the Yearbook of Contemporary Artists '23 for Giorgio Mondadori, and one of her works received a written review by Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi, the latter present at her exhibitions at the Vatican Chancellery where she exhibited on the occasion of Roma Contemporanea. She exhibited in a group show at Palazzo Sponza in Dubrovnik, Croatia in October 2024; in February 2026 she exhibited at the Angelica Gallery on the occasion of the presentation of the Blu Star Yearbook of Modern Art, and in this event she was awarded a prize in the Angelica Library for the high recognition for the interest of her photographic works, together with many TV personalities, among others Roberto Chevalier, Nathalie Caldonazzo and other. She has exhibited in various group exhibitions at Palazzo Valentini, at UNAR, at the Sala della Protomoteca in Campidoglio, at Palazzo Maffei Marescotti, seat of the Vicariate of Rome, at the Vatican Chancellery, at Palazzo Velli Expo, in the Literary Salon, together with the president of the Italo-Croatian Association and poet Svjetlana Lipanovic, where she presented her book of poems and the poet Lipanovic, she recited her works, always filmed by Arte 24 and she exhibited in a solo exhibition and at the presentation of her book of poetry: "Il filo delle mie emozioni" at We Gil with the patronage of the Lazio Region in May 2025 and in the presence of the local institutions of Rome Capital with the report that was filmed by the television program Arte 24 and broadcast by the Rete Oro channel. She was among the artists selected by the City of Rome for RAW-Rome Art Week 2025. She participated in the Poetry Village at Mangiaparole in Rome (reported by the Sapereambiente television channel) and other poetry events. Her photographic works were used in a television series produced by Mediaset. She won the photography section at the 2024 Velletri Biennale, the 2023 La mia Sacrofano (Rome) competition, and was awarded first place with one of her photographic works by the Mayor of Sacrofano in the City Library. She has been interviewed several times by professional journalist Daniele Nicosia in the Rete Oro studios. She will have a solo exhibition in May 2026, again reported by the Arte 24 program.
