In the occasion of the 10^ edition of Rome Art Week, the roman contemporary art week, on Saturday 25 October 2025, starting from 5.00 pm, at Galleria La Nica, located in Via dei Banchi Nuovi 22, will be held a meeting with Lorenzo Gramaccia, protagonist artist of "Itineraria Memoriae", his personal exhibition inaugurated last 18 September 2025 curated by Maria Vittoria Marchetta.
The title “Itineraria Memoriae” takes inspiration from the ancient Roman Itineraria, those registers of routes and distances that guided travelers through the cities and roads of the Empire. They were orientation tools, but also registers of movement and the relationship between body and space.
Always interested in the dichotomy between man and nature, as well as the fragility and transience of human existence, Lorenzo Gramaccia in his new cycle of works seems to recover the ancient practice of Itineraria, but going further. The aim is not to propose a cartography of reality, but rather to offer us a journey through the maps of memory, in the places crossed not only physically but internally.
During the event of Saturday 25 October, in addition to visiting the exhibition, it will also be possible to meet the artist and dialogue with him to delve deeper into his poetics and understand what lies behind his work, in particular for his latest cycle of works exhibited at Galleria La Nica.
The event will last from 5pm to 7pm and will be free to enter.
