"Ecstatic Sense" is Stefano Restivo's Suspended Work.
The artist captures eight large paintings from the past and transforms their appearance and experience.
Three key concepts define his installation.
MOVEMENT:
The artwork no longer seeks to figuratively represent movement; the work itself is movement.
INTERACTION:
With "Ecstatic Sense," the way we enjoy a work of art has also changed. It is no longer a precious, distant object forbidden to touch. Rather, the installation must be touched. The audience is no longer just a spectator; they become participants. They are invited to interact with the work.
EXPERIENCE:
The simple, lightweight materials, all the small imperfections of the installation are testament to manual, artisanal work, impossible to mass-produce and not intended to last. They are a symbol, yes, of precariousness, but above all of the fact that what matters are the emotions, the sensations the work evokes, and the reflections it inspires.
In a word, "experiencing art with art."
