HOWTAN SPACE is pleased to invite you on Thursday 24 October 2019 to the finissage and cocktail party of the PURE photo exhibition of Luigia Greco curated by Barbara Martusciello.
The author Luigia Greco, a well-known fashion celebrity stylist, has consulted prestigious international advertising campaigns and published on the best fashion magazines and modus vivendi, curated the style of nationally and internationally renowned personalities from the '80s to today and owns her own brand - LALU Handmade -, being strong in its immense wealth of experience and hundreds of photo shoots around the world, she has carried forward her particular artistic photographic research.
The exhibition, entitled PURE, with clear reference to purity, proposes a vision of the Woman being investigated through her body of which, from the object of desire that has been used and exhibited everywhere in the fields of communication, of varied visual diffusion, of marketing and in Social, it shows - come back! - subject that reveals its strength and intrinsic beauty, in search of an intimate balance, of a harmony of the inner feminine that demands space and respect.
The gaze of the author is like an accomplice - from woman to woman - intended to express her gender research by concealing the identity of the subject portrayed, in which each can therefore recognize herself, finding something of herself; the result is produced by a clever chiaroscuro play, suggesting silence, delicacy, elegance, a secret and in short, referring to the complexity and depth of the inner worlds in search of that original purity that emerges in a chaotic, articulated contemporary context with too many background noises often mercenary. So here is a reminder - a sort of tribute - to the Caravaggio light that highlights details such as an escaped tuft of hair, charming little shoes, the model's neck, crossed legs, thin wrists, the inclined face turned in another direction, the breast and the pubis that do not fear judgments and claim their own naturalness, without shame because they are authentic, innocent, uncontaminated, since not only "The value of beauty (...) is not (given) by a vile sales pitch pronounced by the language of a merchant" ( Shakespeare, Pene d'amore perdito, IV, 3) but above all "Omnia munda mundis" / "Everything is pure for whoever is pure" (Letter of Saint Paul to Titus: 1,15).
The Hlab cocktail bar in support of the Space is open until 11.30 pm on the occasion of the Finissage to greet and receive the friends and guests of the gallery.
