Shereen Badr is a visual artist, curator, entrepreneur and art educator with extensive experience in the international art scene. Founder and CEO of Artoday, she has worked in international art curation for over 13 years, curating more than 20 exhibitions, symposiums, art fairs and cultural events in Egypt and internationally.
Her practice combines curatorial research, cultural entrepreneurship and the development of platforms that encourage international dialogue and create opportunities for artists.
In 2016, she founded Euro-Arab Artoday, an initiative created to foster cultural exchange between the Arab and European art scenes through collaborative exhibitions and artistic events.
In 2022, she co-founded the World Art Forum (WAF), an international art fair in Egypt conceived around the relationship between art and sustainability. Its first edition was held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and brought together more than 150 artists from 33 countries. The second edition took place during COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, with activities hosted in different locations across the Blue Zone and Green Zone.
In 2023, Shereen founded Empower Her Art Forum (EHAF), a platform dedicated to supporting and promoting women artists by increasing their visibility and creating opportunities for professional development, exchange and participation in the international art world.
Alongside her curatorial and entrepreneurial activities, she has devoted more than 18 years to art education, supporting aspiring artists in developing their creative practice, knowledge and artistic skills.
