Concise Biography (RAW)
Alessandro D'Agostini is a Professional Curator, poet, and performance artist active in Rome, with over fifteen years of uninterrupted experience in organizing, directing, and promoting contemporary art events.
His solid professional foundation is evidenced by his activity as Director of the "Rome Art Gallery" and by his long and significant collaboration with Maestro Daniela Romano and the historic "Il Tetto" Gallery in Via Margutta. His curatorial expertise has been applied in prominent exhibitions, including artists of the caliber of Franz Borghese and Ennio Calabria, and in institutional contexts thanks to his collaboration with art critic Luigi Talarico, with events held at the Senate Conference Hall and Palazzo Valentini.
His research focuses on the Essence of the Concept of the Avant-garde in Art. He is the founder (1994) of the "Poeti d'Azione" (Action Poets) Movement, an avant-garde movement that blends poetry, theater, and performance art. This approach culminates in actions such as the performance "Poesie vomitate contro la turbogas" (Poems Vomited Against the Gas Turbine) with Antonio Rezza, conceived by Ugo Magnanti.
He has also created multimedia performances with theatrical actions and body art in collaboration with the renowned body artist Inanna Trillis.
In parallel, D'Agostini is socially engaged as a member of the "Spazio Disponibile" (Available Space) Association, which is involved in volunteering and collaborates on job placement projects for psychiatric patients. He is committed to the recognition of the artist's figure and as a promoter of cultural regeneration initiatives. He participated with his Movement, with an art and theater performance, at the Contemporary Art Festival of Amatrice. His essay, "L’essenza del concetto d’avanguardia nell’arte" (The Essence of the Concept of the Avant-garde in Art), defines his theoretical line, making him a key figure in the Roman panorama who unites criticism with curatorial and performative practice.
