His research activity is aimed at the interaction between architecture, art and urban planning. He deals with public art, urban quality and territorial development.

With Francesco Moschini he curated the "Hortus Conclusus" exhibition in 1995, set up in Rome in the courtyards and secret gardens of seven Roman noble palaces and at the Istituto Europeo di Design.

In 1996 he presented at the Galleria A.A.M. Architettura Arte Moderna of Rome the “Convergenze” exhibition, focused on the expressive reinterpretation of the exhibition space. Between 1996 and 2005 he curated exhibitions and created installations, in which reciprocity between works and context is fundamental, at the Rose Theater in Fuji in Japan, the Museo Sperimentale d’Arte Contemporanea in L'Aquila, the Palazzo Chigi in Viterbo, the Museo Laboratorio di Arte Contemporanea of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, the Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna of Spoleto. In 2005, with Patrizia Ferri, he curated the exhibition “Translating Rooms. Proposte d’autore per una nuova ecologia dell’abitare", and in 2007 the exhibition "L’utopia praticabile. Ipertesti metropolitani", presented at the MAXXI and set up at the Museo H.C. Andersen.

From 1992 to 1993 he was the editor of a weekly column dedicated to urban planning, architecture and design for the newspaper Paese Sera. From 1995 to 2000 he wrote for the magazines Economia della Cultura and Metamorfosi. Quaderni di Architettura, Next, La Casa di Pietra, L’industria delle Costruzioni, Linee del DAU. In the same period he edited publications for the publishing houses Kappa, Lithos, Gangemi and wrote essays for the publishing houses il Mulino, Dedalo, Arnaldo Lombardi, Sellerio, Fratelli Palombi.

Between 2004 and 2008 he collaborated in the laboratories of Architectural and Urban Design at the Prima Facoltà di Architettura Ludovico Quaroni and of Interior Architecture at the Facoltà di Architettura Valle Giulia, he carried out tutoring activities for the Master of Design, Adaptation and Management of Hotels for the Dipartimento di Architettura e Costruzione della Sapienza. In 2010 he taught the course on Artistic Design of Public Space at the Facoltà di Ingegneria della Sapienza. In November 2013, with Paolo Colarossi and Patrizia Ferri, he participated in the Corviale Forum for the presentation of "Respirare Corviale Urbanistica Architettura e Arte Pubblica per due piazze condivise e pulsanti", organized by the Laboratorio sperimentale progettuale integrato (CorLab).

Between 2007 and 2010 he was the designer and director of works in conservative restoration works in Tivoli, including the eighteenth-century Palazzo Boschi. In 2011 he designed the new offices of the Rome territorial headquarters of the Consorzio Nazionale Servizi in the complex of the former Peroni Brewery.

With Paolo Colarossi and Patrizia Ferri, he is co-founder of the CeDRAP Centro di Documentazione e Ricerca sull’Arte Pubblica, established within the former DAU-DICEA department of Sapienza University and president of Architecture Open Circuit Onlus, dedicated to the definition of slum programs upgrading for developing countries.

Between 2011 and 2015 he was part of the Roman editorial team of the Rivista SdT della Società dei Territorialisti, directed by Alberto Magnaghi.

In 2016, with Marco Maria Sambo, he founded the critical blog INDUSTRIARCHITETTURA, which deals with culture and architecture.

In 2008, with Gianfilippo Rebecchini, he founded the 2020_Architects studio in Rome and participated in the XV Sofia World Triennial.

In 2020, with Gianfilippo Rebecchini, he was responsible for the executive planning for the renovation and bringing into compliance of the former office premises of the "Casa Vittoria" elderly care community.

In 2024, on behalf of the Dipartimento Politiche Sociali e Salute di Roma Capitale, as part of Mission 5 - Component 2 of the PNRR, he implemented the technical and economic feasibility projects "Stazione di Posta – Progetto Reset (Residenza e Tetto) 3" and “Housing First – Progetto un Tetto con Cura 8” in via Giovanni Comisso 23.

Since 2022 he has been a member of the Commissione Area Concorsi of the Ordine degli Architetti, Pianificatori, Paesaggisti e Conservatori di Roma e Provincia.
