Giuseppe Bartolomei

Abstract artist that lives and works in Rome. He is in a collab with Velia Littera's art gallery. In this phase he represents walls on canvas. The walls have a poetic and metaphysical dimension. Speak of what has been lost and what remains, with their scratches, their paint strippers, their abrasions. Giuseppe bartolomei paints on canvas, using acrylic paint, wet cement and vinavil. He participated in this year's V edition of RAW with two artworks: Erma and Indoro.

Erma represents a wish, what remains when travelers pass. It's a sign marked on canvas with which we wanted to fix the need to remain firm. Wet cement, vinavil, acrylic paint on canvas (30 x 40 cm).
Indoro speaks of decadence velied by a light golden patina. It is not all gold that shines: it is not enough an aulic veil to embellish which has been ruined. In this sense, the canvas represents the deception of appearences. Wet cement, vinavil, acrylic paint on canvas (30 x 40 cm).
