Roberta Maola

Pupil of Mario Di Girolamo, aka Gimar, Lindo Fiore and Rita Mele, Roberta Maola studied and trained at the Institute of Art "A. Valente ”of Sora (Fr). In 1993 she enrolled in the department of psychology at “La Sapienza” University in Rome, where she could expand her knowledge in that domain. After her degree, she worked for the non-profit sector and as advertising designer for public sector and NGOs. In 2010 she made the national campaign for the Month of Psychological Well-Being, event organized by the Sipap (Italian society of professional psychologists). In 2013 she decided to fully dedicate herself to art. Roberta’s work is a reflection about art and psychology as idiosyncratic languages, opposite angles of a single exploratory process of the same entity: the processes of thought and the human soul in its intimate subjectivity. She took part in many solo and selected group exhibitions, collaborating with many important artists. Her works have been published in catalogues, magazines, newspapers and book covers. Many critics and artists wrote about her work. Among them: Annarita Borrelli, Daniela Cocco, Giulia Del Papa, Massimiliano Ferraggina, Roberto Gramiccia, Araxi Ipekjian, Beatriz Leal Riesco, Michela Lardieri, Sarah Palermo, Alessandra Rinaldi, Raffaella Rinaldi and Andrea Ungheri.
