In her youth she was surrounded by anartistically inclined family. Her father was a writer, producer and film director while hermother was an art historian specialised in the history of Rome. Her inherited passion forthe arts lead her to study music at the Rome conservatory, traditional japanese danceand shodo (the art of calligraphy) in Fukushima, Japan, and to earn a degree inArchitecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology of Chicago. Her internationalbackground and early diversified education gave her the possibility to live multiplecultures in her youth that are now profoundly embedded in her. As a citizen of the worldshe is fascinated by her personal search for identity and the oblique precarious mannerin which she views existence. Her work allows her to communicate, acknowledge anddocument the emotional side of this journey. She is an existential artist.
