Date and place of Birth: April 27th, 1979 - Monteiasi (TA), ITALY

Education (2009): Production Drawing and Visual Communication Degree in “L. Quadroni - Università La

Sapienza”, Rome - ITALY.

Angelo Marinelli was born in Monteiasi, Taranto (Italy).

After an engineering studies career, in 2004 he moves to Rome and obtains a Industrial Design Degree. He got the passion for photography from his father and became interested in it as a self-learner. In the first years of 2000, Angelo conciliates his studies with the photographer job, improving the lighting and post-production techniques. Between 2010 and 2013, he moves to Asia and starts to travel around the world. Thanks to these experiences, he broaden his artistic and cultural overview and, in the meanwhile, strengthen his own origins.

The Angelo Marinelli’s research aims to find a new identity of the vision through chooses that rush into the light, reorganizing the portions of time that determine the imagine development. His solid and silent Modern Society overviews represent a new way of managing the vision’s metaphors, avoiding to run into stereotypes or worthless extravagances. In the artistic philosophy of the abandon and the research of the empty, the artist revives a universe made up of minimal movements and dense architectonical stratifications. These features help to establish a perfect and delicate mythopoeia that lean on the time itself as a creator of images. The trained eye of Angelo Marinelli is able to rediscover the beauty through a different way of seeing the reality. He revives the taste for an enigma with the addition of a moderate dose of melancholy, making his photos a metaphysical environment that leave in the memory a lasting impression. Actually, it is just this memory that regenerates in the spectator’s mind, who absorbs the vision embracing it. The choice of the colours and the tones, often so cold and desaturated that they reach soft and sensual structural settings and linguistic techniques, help to intensify the sense of curiosity and the charm for every photogram. Therefore, the images become a private way of communicating between the formation of everything and the retina observing them from each possible perspective. An omniscience arose by the objective lens that rediscovers the taste of choose and shock, through the beauty and a new way of seeing.
