Carolina Farina is an indipendent photographer, she lives and works in Rome. She graduated in Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan with a thesis on the relationship betweenphotography and visual imagery in mass media cultures. She attended the Master in Curatorial Practices at the European Institute of Design in Rome. Her artistic research, between theory, and practice, focuses on micro-narratives of everyday lifewith a special attention on private emotional archives and memories related to the objects. She is stage photographer and photoeditor for fattiditeatro.it. She works as photoreporter in the visual and performing artsfor: Short Theatre, La forma del pathos. Step Two, Biennale College - Theatre, Attraversamenti Multipli, Routes Agency, Transnationalizing Modern Languages, and ArTransit – performing art in motion. In 2012 she has been called from Space B.go Loreto SP / CRAC othervision of Cremona to exhibit the photographic performance project OB-VIAM dedicated to many neglected and forbidden public spaces of the city. She is co-curator of the photographic project UOMINI DENTRO made in the San Vittore prison in Milan and dedicated to the males and females inmates working in prison. During the last two years her works where exhibited at Funzilla and Gazebook: Sicily Photobook Festival. She is resident artist at Studio CLAB.
