Andrea Frosolini was born the 16th September 1993 in Rome, where he actually works and live.In 2016 he opened, with other 6 artists, the artist-run space SPAZIO IN SITU, where he works as artist and social media manager/graphic designer. From 2015 his work has been part of several exhibitions in Italy and Europe; like at Spazio In Situ (Rome) for the solo show “ECO”[2016],“in da place” [2017], “OUT OF SPACE”[2019], or At The Gallery Apart for the group show “chilometro 0”. In 2018 he takes part of the project “vacation spot in gent” by Federica Di Pietrantonio in Ghent, Belgium. In that occasion was born the collaboration with the artist, they togheter run ISIT.magazine and the project-duo AFFDP. Frosolini’s current research focuses mainly on the loss of personality of man in contemporary society. A blunt but ironic criticism about the standardization of human persona in the age of commodified thought.By the stealing of images from our real/virtual panorama, the artist assembles fictional systems, stage sets full of clichè and glamour. The image, in its iconic form, replace our sensorial experiences, driving us in a state of pure ambiguity. In a very cynical-trashy mood, the artist poke fun of banality itself, this aka-game create a flirt between elements, an exchange among product, packaging and consumer.
