Gloria Tranchida

Since the beginning of her artistic exhibition activity in 2005 Gloria Tranchida dedicated her work to reporting environmental and eco-sustainability issues with classical painting media and an Upcycling mixed media recycling paper from the wastes.

Life

Gloria Tranchida was born in Rome in 1959. Gratuated in Chemistry and specialized in security printing and anticounterfeiting. Learns painting at Decorative Arts Academy of Rome, in 1999 begins her artistic activity and since 2005 exhibits her works in contemporary art galleries and in environmental and recycling events

Works

Gloria uses in her paintings, classical techniques (oil on canvas) and an Upcycling technique with material mixed media based on recycled paper often with metallic colours to improve and to show the value of the base waste materials.

Her artistic production is dedicated to environmental themes, sustainability and pollution, many collections of paintings already on catalogue are focused on these issues, among them Climate Change, Territory Exploitation, Unsustainability of Cities, Industrial Wastes and Soil Contamination caused by them.
