Ilaria Pisciottani, born in 1975, freelance journalist, art photographer and fluxus Visual Artist, discovered the existence of video recording and photography as a child.
She is the creator and founder of the contemporary art group NewFormatArtThanks to photography, she exorcises and gives vent to her complex thoughts.
Her black and white images, although strong and scratchy, do not shout but whisper, do not impose themselves but suggest and always capture and excite.
She has exhibited several photographic works in various international contexts including the C.A.R. Ruhr museum in Germany: the Photo Festival in Israel; at the Qlick Gallery in Amsterdam; at the BluBerlin Gallery; At the Matca in Vietnam, at the Studio Galerie in Paris, at the GAM in Rome, at the Benedictine Monastery in Catania, at the Agorà Gallery in New York, at the Biblioteca Angelica in Rome, at the Museum of the Faculty of Aerospatial Engineering of the Sapienza University in Rome, at the Bahraini Embassy in Rome.
Some of her shots have been published in photography magazines such as Digital Camera, Creative Light, 121 Clicks.
In 2022, at the Roman headquarters of the European Parliament, she was awarded the Carthage Prize for distinguishing herself with her photographic and film projects, in the field of art and culture.
In 2023 she participated in the Milano Photofestival where she presented her photographic work "Manent" and her first photographic publication "Le Immagini sospese" exhibited at the Kasa dei libri book museum for the contest "Le immagini rilegate" and some of her photographic projects were projected on the video walls of Time Square in the advertising spaces dedicated to emerging artists.
September 2024 will see the publication of her second photographic book "Mater Matera", a study and reportage dedicated to the city of Matera, and a limited photographic edition of only 2 copies, "Immagini Note" created specifically for the photography contest "Le Immagini rilegate 2024"
