Alex Ciattaglia is an Italian visual artist based in Rome. His artistic research develops through original acrylic paintings on canvas, inspired by music, cinema, and contemporary pop culture. Music & Movie Faceless Art project investigates the way pop culture constructs recognizable icons even when the face disappears. In Alex Ciattaglia’s works, the human figure is stripped of its facial features and reduced to posture, color, clothing, gesture, and atmosphere.

The absent face becomes a space for projection: the viewer is no longer looking at a traditional portrait, but at an incomplete image that must be reconstructed through memory, cinema, music, and personal imagination.

The painting is situated between pop art, contemporary figuration, and visual minimalism. The works do not simply celebrate pop icons; they question their recognizability, showing how visual identity can survive even after the face has been removed.
