Valentina Formisano
Engraver, drawer, illustrator and painter. I look at the human body with and anthropological eye and building a sacred sense for the flesh. My lancet carves the copper and everything is saved under glass.

Valentina Formisano was born in Naples (Italy) on 1987. Moves to the city of Macerata in 1998 where she lived, studied and worked until 2016. During the stidies she won national and international prizes in painting and art graphics as the National Prize of Arts of Brera for Graphics in 2011 and a scolarship for the Nuñez Prize to Fundaciòn CIEC in La Coruña in 2012. On 2013 won the Biennale dei Giovani Artisti Marchigiani BiGAM for Graphic and the special prize Arnoldo Ciarrocchi. Honors degree in Fine Art Academy of Macerata in 2013 with a mention for the publishing of the thesis. In 2017 she moved to Florence for the achievement of a scolarship in Fondazione il Bisonte for Arts Graphics and in 2019 moved again for a tutoring in university master ArtLab with the Academy of Fine Art of Rome, city in which lives, works and teaches in highshool. Recently acquired by the Vatincan Museums in the modern and contemporary collection with her engraving of the 2011 Liberami da me. In 2023 registered her brand face/NOFACE®.
