Lo Spizio is an independent artistic research project. Born spontaneously during international travels and residencies that have happened since
2022, in 2024 it opened an office in the Quadraro neighborhood of Rome.
As a studio of multidisciplinary artists, each with their own research, it willingly opens to in choral initiatives and collective projects. The name of the "space" takes up with a play on words the term "hospice," from the Latin Hospitium
"hospitality; lodging," a place historically traversed by
strangers, pilgrims and beggars that to this day is wrongly associated only with the idea of old age, instability and loneliness.
The Spizio is a shared aesthetic, a nomadic-spiritual identity, where ideas and visions are welcomed and housed, which in turn are shaped, evolving continuously.
The form of spontaneous return to the audience, is synergistic therefore unpredictable, which brings together different performative currents in celebration, play and recollection.
