Artistic Biography of Marco Curatolo

Marco Curatolo began as a self-taught artist before embarking on formal training, dedicating three years to the Scuola d’Arte e Mestieri in Rome.

There he refined his techniques and nurtured a vision focused on emotional connections and the experiences of modern life.

He has participated in various group exhibitions, including:

“ESTATE IN ARTE 2024” at the Museo Civico Tuscolano – Scuderie Aldobrandini, the Human Rights Exhibition 2024 organized by the Waldensian Evangelical Church and sponsored by Amnesty International (winning first prize), in February 2025, he joined Art on Plaza – Sacred Art 3.0, for the Jubilee of Artists, with the patronage of the Pontifical Theological Academy, exhibiting his work projected in Piazza del Popolo, held a solo exhibition sponsored by the Municipality of Castelnuovo di Porto (November 2024), created a poster for RIF – Museum of the Suburbs of Rome, launched a series of personal projects culminating in his unique artistic expression: a painting series titled “Utopia of Empathy”, and “The New Invisibles”, exhibited at La Scala d’Oro Gallery in Rome, an art exhibition/performance aimed at giving voice to those struggling for survival and pursuing personal emancipation.

He is currently working on posters inspired by Marc Augé’s “Non-Places” and has created an art performance titled “Art as a Gift”, during which he offers a part of his creative work for free. This initiative aims not only to showcase his creativity but also to express the belief that art should open up, devote itself, communicate ideas and emotions—be as spontaneous as the beauty of a gift.
