I am Francesca Pietropaolo,after graduating in Human Biology at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, I pursued studies at the RUFA Academy of Fine Arts, also in Rome, earning a degree in painting.
Since always, with a great passion for painting and writing, a cathartic redemption of my most hidden and troubled moods emerges in my works.
Taking inspiration mainly from German Expressionist artists, I favor two-dimensionality, line, and bright colors.In my Abstracts, an immediate and wild instinct prevails.
This year I am participating in RAW with a series of paintings called 'Connections': encounters between bodies.
This series of works represents the meeting of male and female bodies, immersed in an abstract setting that surrounds them and colors them.
The fusion between figurative and abstract is at the center of the scene and expresses a vital energy that connects the figures to an undefined space and highlights the sensuality of the images.
In their contact, the bodies communicate warmth, closeness, and understanding. Their interaction evokes a shared movement, like the space on stage between dancers, showing synchronicity, empathy, and passion.
