Alexandrina Valenti @ Rome Art Week

Alexandrina Valenti was born on April 24, 1992, in Varna, the maritime capital of Bulgaria. She graduated from “Frederic Joliot-Curie” High School with a specialization in Spanish language, then earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism in Sofia. She successfully completed a Master’s degree in Visual Arts at the Rome University of Fine Arts, Italy.

She has over 10 years of experience as a graphic designer, works as an Art Director, and runs her own design studio. She draws, writes, photographs, and directs. Her poems have been published in numerous online and print poetry magazines. She is also the author of many lyrics for successful musical projects.

With her debut poetry collection Amarcord, she won the Special Poetry Award of the Union of Bulgarian Artists at the National Literary Contest “Georgi Chernyakov” (2019). She was awarded the Purple Quill Prize (2022) for short prose, and the winning text is featured in her current second poetry book Brivido.

On World Poetry Day – March 21, 2024, Alexandrina Valenti took part in “Europa in versi” in Rome, where she represented Bulgaria with her poetry.
Her poetry collection Brivido was translated into Italian and officially presented on February 14, 2025, in the “Sassoli” Hall at Palazzo Valentini, Rome.
Her third book, published in 2025 — The Adventures of Bettoon the Brigant in the Whispering Forest — belongs to the genre of children’s literature. The work was featured at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, the world’s largest international book fair for children, on April 2, celebrated as International Children’s Book Day.

She was awarded the Golden Clover by the Vigoria Foundation for outstanding contributions in the field of Culture.
