Paolo Campagnolo
Roman artist Paolo Campagnolo merges metal, pigments, and cinematic film into luminous, tactile works. His practice blends abstraction and memory, turning matter into visual narratives suspended in time.
Data and contact details

Paolo Campagnolo was born in Rome in 1965. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and went on to expand his career internationally, living between London, Berlin and Rome. With a diverse visual art practice spanning painting, mixed-media compositions and installations, Campagnolo has been engaged to create works for major international galleries and institutions as well as private clients in cities including Istanbul, Tokyo, New York and Sydney.

For many years Paolo worked with Salvo Biondo as part of the artistic duo CampagnoloBiondo. The pair developed an expansive, three-dimensional body of work that represented a new pictorial language based on explorations of light and materiality. Campagnolo continues this legacy in his current practice, reimagining ancient artistic techniques through innovative new perspectives and semantics.

Campagnolo currently creates works commissioned by galleries, arts and cultural organisations and private collectors, exhibiting in both international galleries as well as residential and commercial spaces.
