Arianna Ciolli
My artistic practice is rooted in painting, focusing on childhood as a space of memory, identity, and transformation, while exploring the relationship between childhood and contemporary society.
Data and contact details

Born in the outskirts of Rome in 2001, I have always been drawn to art for its expressive and narrative power.

From my earliest works, developed during my high school years and primarily focused on painting, I gave free rein to my need to express the reality that surrounded me. Beginning with a personal and autobiographical narrative, I gradually developed my visual language through figurative art, placing particular emphasis on the accessibility of the work and its message, as well as on the personal interpretation of both by viewers beyond the conventional art world.

I graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence in 2025. During my academic studies, my pictorial language evolved through an exploration of childhood in all its forms.

Initially, my research focused on childhood as a personal, biographical experience and on childhood shaped by contemporary society, investigating the dialogue between different generations and the profound impact that new technologies and changing habits have on younger generations.

In my most recent body of work, I have turned my attention to the themes of war and weaponry, examining how they leave an indelible mark on the growth and development of children born in territories affected by violence, oppression, and injustice. Central to this series is the striking contrast between toys and weapons, whose visual and symbolic dialogue underscores the tension between innocence and conflict.
