Ivana Urso was born on December 17, 1978, in San Cataldo (CL). She began studying applied arts at a young age, which led her to attend the Regional Art Institute of San Cataldo and the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, where she revealed a particular talent for the Pictorial Decoration course, graduating with honors. She later moved to Rome, where she began her personal research in the thermoformed glass fusion technique, while maintaining an interest in experimental painting. In 2017, she joined the "Pentastrattismo" movement, a research and experimental group of Italian contemporary artists, where she expresses and exalts the beauty and gesture of abstract art in a highly personal manner.
