Data and contact details

Nie Mengxi (Chengdu, Sichuan) is a contemporary artist and writer based in Venice. She completed her academic training in contemporary art between France and Italy, studying at the École Européenne Supérieure d’Art de Bretagne (EESAB), the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Nîmes (ESBAN), and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.

Her visual and literary work draws continuous inspiration from the study and reinterpretation of ancient Chinese, Greek, and Etruscan mythologies. Through the rethinking of archetypes, symbols, and primordial narratives, she creates a dialogue between Eastern and Western traditions, shaping a distinct and rigorous aesthetic language that builds a conceptual bridge between historical memory and contemporaneity. Her artistic practice unfolds across a diverse range of visual and material media—including painting, ceramics, and multimedia installations—and has been featured in solo and group exhibitions, as well as artist residencies across China, France, and Italy.

Andrea Rizzo is a contemporary artist and researcher whose practice investigates the boundaries between pictorial tradition, science, and new technologies, driven by a strong commitment to the social impact of art.

Rooted in the study of art history, his research bridges the principles of modern physics—from quantum mechanics to relativity—with the subjective perception of reality. Through a hybrid and synesthetic approach that merges painting, sound, video art, and virtual reality, Rizzo conceives the physical artwork as a "portal": a threshold to spatial and experiential dimensions that transcend the limits of tangible matter.

At the core of his poetics lies the creation of immersive virtual environments inspired by the Mediterranean seabed. Reimagined through a symbolic and vibrant lens, the aquatic element becomes a metaphor for memory and depth, offering the viewer an embodied and emotional journey that expands the perception of time and space.
