Matteo Simonacci @ Rome Art Week

Matteo Simonacci

I'm a roman comic artist and illustrator, working from about 20 years for french publisher, basically.

Data and contact details

I was born in Rome, where I attended school through high school (classical studies), before going on to study comics at the scuola internationale di comics in Rome.

After graduating and spending about a year putting together my portfolio, I began working with French comic book publishers, with whom I’ve been collaborating for about twenty years. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Glénat, Soleil, Marabout, Narratives, Les Humanoïdes Associés, and Petit à petit.

I also returned to the scuola internationale di comics as a teacher, where I taught comic book and animation courses for a few years.

Comics are probably my favorite form of expression!
