Eiad Oraby (b. 1989, Egypt) is a Berlin-based art-and-technology researcher and AI engineer. He earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from Luxor in 2015, followed by an MFA in Digital Arts and studies in programming. He also lectures in game development at the British University in Egypt. His practice has evolved from painting and experimental photography into video, code, and real-time computational imagery. Exploring interconnected systems, chaos theory, and artificial intelligence, his work examines how technology is reshaping perception, identity, and the contemporary visual image. His latest work uses neural networks, depth estimation, and motion tracking to transform the viewer’s live image into a continuously shifting field of typographic characters.
