Born on November 24th, 1970, in Civitanova Marche, he graduated from the State Art High School in Porto San Giorgio. He made his debut in 2001. In 2003, he participated in an exhibition paying tribute to G. Testori in Legnano, followed by a show at the Pittura Italiana space in Milan. A recipient of the "Carlo Della Zorza Painting Prize" and the Venice "La Fenice Prize," Marco Luzi explores his existential restlessness through a new form of figurative art; his work is rooted in the contemplative atmosphere of the early-to-mid-20th century—reflecting the intensity of Existential Realism and its key figures—yet without ever fully adopting its specific tonal qualities. Since the 1990s, he has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Italy, showing his work in galleries and contemporary art institutions.

He lives and works in Rome.
