Gian Luca Ferrari
Born in Rome in 1971, Gian Luca Ferrari has experienced art for over thirty years as a profound and uninterrupted dialogue between painting and sculpture. His artistic inquiry does not stop at the surface, but digs deep into the material to extract its emotional essence.
Through the use of heterogeneous materials such as resin, sand, cement, and wood, the artist transforms raw elements into works that explore human beauty and passions. Each creation is conceived as a complete sensory experience: his artworks are meant to be observed with the eyes, but ask to be touched and felt with the soul.
At the center of his expressive universe lies the "Eternal Embrace" ("Abbraccio Eterno") series alongside a meticulous investigation of three-dimensional form and volume. His busts and sculptures explore the human body as a temple of lived stories, where the "skin" becomes the boundary between the outer world and the individual's inner scars or rebirths.
