Massimo Di Mauro, born in Catania on 27 July 1974, lives and works between Milan and Rome. He began his studies at the Art High School of the same city, subsequently continuing in the Sculpture section of the Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2008 he obtained the qualification to teach the subject, "Sculptural Plastic and Scenoplastic Disciplines", starting to teach Sculpture in various artistic high schools in Lombardy.
In 2014 he moved to Madrid, remaining in the Spanish capital for more than two years. Immersed in a new reality, he observes and experiments with new artistic languages by collaborating on various projects with artists from different continents and with different backgrounds.
In September 2016, his Spanish parenthesis came to an end and he returned to Milan, taking up service as a permanent teacher at the Brera Art School, where he taught plastic and sculptural disciplines, until July 2023.
Subsequently, in the 2022/23 school year, he felt the need for a new change of direction, and requested the transfer to Roma Capitale, which was obtained towards the end of June 2023.
Alongside his studies he has always participated in collective exhibitions, reviews, biennials and art awards, in Italy and abroad.
The issues addressed over the last few years focus on topics and problems closely linked to current society, such as gender fluidity, the female body in the digital age, cities and nature towards the future, up to the exploration of own inner world.
