A very talented young man, he exhibited his acrylic works in exhibitions, including personal ones, already at the age of 20.He then moved to Florence to train at the Academy of Fine Arts with Maestro Ferdinando Farulli and became a teacher of chalcographic techniques at the Leonardo School in Prato. The artist replaces acrylic with oil paint.In 1990 the prof. Elio Mercuri, journalist and art critic, commissions Barone to create twelve hand-colored engravings to illustrate the poem "Calabria" by Leonida Repaci. The work entitled "Calabria", published in 125 unique copies printed by hand on a press by Grafica d'Arte Lombardi of Rome, will participate in 1998 at the World Festival of Illustrated Poetry in Villefranche-sur-mer.From figurative, his work becomes more fluid towards forms that are inspired by landscapesnaturalistic but which the artist's imagination transforms into ever new atmospheres and new colours.In 1997 he was selected for an international collective "Rencontres Internationales" at the Palais de L'Europe in Menton in France and subsequently the Haig-Art & Associès of Nice organizes a personal exhibition for him.He then exhibited at the Municipality of Viareggio and at the Arte Fiera of Bologna.In the following years he is present with his works in the Sala Napoleonica in Pistoia, al Palazzo della Provincia di Messina, at the Scuderie Borbone di Camaiore, at the Caffè Pedrocchi in Padova, and at the Casa Cini Cultural Institute in Ferrara.In 2001 he created "Concerto", an important work of 150x300 which he will donate to the Arcispedale Sant'Anna through the Renzo Melotti Contemporary Art Picture Gallery in Ferrara.In 2002 he exhibited at the Cassero Medievale of Prato and at the Sala delle Grasce of S. Agostino in Pietrasanta.2003 sees Barone at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi of the Province of Firenze and at the Salone Brunelleschi of the Palagio di Parte Guelfa. Then in Pisa at the Church of S. Maria della Spina.

A personal exhibition was organized in 2004 at Villa Caruso Bellosguardo in Firenze. He ranks first in the Pontedera Prize for Graphics.In 2008 the Galleria dell'Uva in Ferrara exhibited his large canvases and mixed techniques on paper.Lives and works in Tuscany.
