Andrea Caronia is a self-taught painter of Italian-Egyptian origins born in Rome in 1988. In 2016 he moved to Palermo, where his studio is based and dedicates himself to his passion for abstract and informal painting. The careful experimentation is the result of continuous study and creative ability which aims to make the atmospheric sensitivity of internal landscapes visible. Driven by an incisive instinctual component, he creates informal works, characterized by color stratifications, large chiaroscuro backgrounds, drippings and other sign operations, which make the metaphorical representation of everyday life alive and dynamic through the introspection of the most modern aspects of the human being. For the artist, color represents a trace of the past, the residual matter of experience latent in memory and remembrance, but which leads the user to ask future questions that call into question one's perception of the world.
