MANUELA BEDESCHI, born in Vicenza, lives and works in Verona Bagnolo di Lonigo (Vicenza) and Rome. She gained a diploma in sculpture from the G.B. Cignaroli Art School in Verona, and then a second diploma in painting. At the Summer Academy in Salzburg she followed a course in Conceptual Art held by Roman Opalka and Gunter Ueker, which was to greatly mark her artistic training, as well as various courses of experimental graphics at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica and the Centro Internazionale di Grafica in Venice. In Villa Pisani Bonetti, Lonigo, she organise teaching visits, cultural meetings, and international shows of contemporary art. For a long time she has worked in the field of sculpture and painting, and has exhibited in national and international shows; over time she has given preference to installations and site-specific interventions where the space is underlined with marks of light. Neon light, once used in addition to other materials, is currently her main expressive means, having aimed her art research towards a mixture of sculpture and light.
