Chiara Martinez

Pediatrician and photographer, she has created three calendars and a book for charity. She has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, in Italy and abroad. Among the awards she has two National Geographic Awards and a Sony World Photograpy Awards.

Chiara Martinez was born in Rome in 1972. She is a pediatrician and mother of three. She created three charity photo calendars for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Viterbo Hospital and for the children of Amatrice affected by the 2016 earthquake, and in 2023 the book "La corsa allo spazio", with an exhibition of the same name at RAW, to raise awareness of the importance of sport for children with disabilities. She attended workshops with Tano D'Amico, Lina Pallotta, Tiziana Faraoni, Maurizio Galimberti, Erik Kessels. Since 2007 she has presented her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and Chile, including three solo exhibitions at the Rome International Photography Festival and a group exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. She received two awards and recognitions at the National Geographic Awards, as well as winning the 2008 Sony World Photography Awards as Amateur Photographer of the Week.
