Informal abstractionist with a research on the sign, which he interprets as an expression of internal resonances, projection of a contracted gesture as in a scratch that shakes the opacity and inertia of livid and dark surfaces. This research leads his painting to highly original results, playing on the relationship between sign and matter, on dense, scratched and overlapping lines that become his personal and easily recognizable linguistic dimension.
Perennial research that the artist expresses with lines, imprints, symbolic skeins, scratches like scars. The sign as a means of expression.
“I often wonder if I can convey what I feel, and if what I feel is big enough to be expressed. Too many things come to mind, too many visions, but you have to know how to coordinate them. It would be better to express ourselves without worrying about anything else, not to listen to anyone and to paint, paint until we are exhausted. In that moment I believe I can say everything, everything that is in my heart, everything that is in my soul."
Born in Rome in 1974. Instinctively in love with art, attracted and fascinated by everything that surrounds him and without recognizing himself in a single defined style, he mainly loves to use the Action Painting and Flash Art techniques. Flash Art, created by Roman painter Francesco Mancini over fifty years ago and of whom Giulio Bradamante was a pupil, is a mode of expression that arises from emotionism, transforming into a current of thought in which the public as a spectator is involved in the artistic creation. This creates a magical and instant empathy that binds artist and public who remain fascinated by this art form that blends classic and modern in a realistic, informal, conceptual and abstract style. In this way art becomes accessible to the common man through direct and free teaching. Another technique used is action painting (literally "action painting"), sometimes called gestural abstraction, or generically abstract expressionism, is a style of painting in which the color is spontaneously dripped, thrown or stained on the canvases, instead which applied carefully. The resulting work emphasizes the physical act of painting itself. For Giulio Bradamante, painting is a way of freezing moments, showing what surrounds him or an "other" reality.
Writer, multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and singer-songwriter, painting is only the latest and newest phase of his artistic vein.
