Mariella Gentile, contemporary painter, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Viterbo.
Her artistic debut began immediately with a selection for the first international art biennial in Rome at the Bramante rooms in 1995 to continue with group and personal exhibitions, artistic competitions and installations in Italy and Spain. Always working in the world of art, she deepened her studies between History of Art, painting and sculpture.
For her, contemporary art is a mirror where everyone can reflect themselves, an opportunity to look inside themselves, a direct path "eyes-mind-heart-shape-COLOR".
In the solo exhibition U N D E R W A T E R at the Galleria Monogramma in Rome in 2021, she joined the team of official artists of the gallery and participated in collective exhibitions and art fairs in Dubai and New York.
Her latest artistic research is aimed at the need to link her works to a broader and more urgent message: a close relationship between man and nature where WATER is the central and symbolic element of inner immersion and rebirth.
By developing a particular technique that allows her to seal her paintings and exhibit them on the seabed, in 2022, she created the first underwater installation in the Ventotene marine park with paintings immersed and visible in snorkeling or diving mode.

In 2023 he participated in the EOLIE’ contemporary art festival in LIPARI with a second underwater exhibition at the Capistello shallows.
Currently his project CERCHIAMO OSSIGENO PER RESPIRARE characterized by “site specific” installations in unusual places, challenges the matter itself to coexist in hostile environments.
His works reminding how, to live, to breathe, we need every primary element.
