Susan Kammerer was born in New York and moved to Rome in 1977. She uses photography as a springboard, a starting point for complex visual elaborations which ultimately deal with the complex relationship between seeing and truth. Kammerer’s photographic installations become visual combinations of both personal intentions and larger ideas.
