Maria Grazia Perrelli lives and works in Rome. After her degree in cinema and after earning a professional learning diploma in photography at I.E.D. in Rome, she worked as a professional photographer and in the publishing industry. As an editor at ADKronosLibri she worked on "Il libro dei Musei" and on the website "Musei online". In November 2020 she opened the art studio "Officine MDF" together with Daniele Giacomini and Fabio Pagliarin, with whom she shared the same artistic journey since 2014.
She attended the painting labs directed by the artist Anna Maria Angelucci, where she started a pictorial research beyond the figurative, experimenting different materials.
In these years she continues her work focusing on the colors and their deep expressive power; she soaks gauze or jute with pigments until she reaches an always unexpected result. It's an artistic process that has the goal of discovering an image capable of sparking a profound emotion in the observer, or of creating a tale that aspires to suggest the invisible movement between human beings. The use of the gauze has different purposes from time to time: from the enhancement of chromatic and figurative rendering to the construction of overlapping planes that aim to suggest a diaphragm that can reveal or hide an underlying image from time to time.
