SUBSTRATUM, an architecture studio in the Monti district of Rome that has been active for 5 years, opens SUBSTRATUM GALLERIA in January 2023, a relational space between design, art and contemporary practices. A project born from the idea of recreating an 'inner' and familiar environment in which the interior furnishing project harmonizes with the works of contemporary artists who, from time to time, interact with the space. Leading visitors to a forgotten elsewhere, a below that reemerges above, immersed in a refined and intimate atmosphere in which to meet and rediscover together, at each appointment, the sense of a lost culture and humanity through artistic practices. Every 4 months the studio proposes the setting up of a room in the house, inspired by a theme, selecting contemporary design furnishings, while the curator Amalia Di Lanno proposes the works of an artist that can dialogue with the room and the chosen theme .
