Spazio Y

Data and contact details

Spazio Y is an independent art space which has dedicated itself for years to research and experimentation in the contemporary context.

Created in 2014 by a group of artists, which in 2016 were joined by curators and operators in the cultural sector, has organized more than thirty events, including personal and collective exhibitions and produced site-specific works, projects of relational art, realized actions and performances in different places and contexts.

Catalyst of an ethic of the possibility that intends to trigger processes of reactivation of the periphery through moments of sharing the practices of the contemporary art, Spazio Y has been active for years in the eastern area of Rome. Operating a systemic reconnection of the creative energies present in the Roman context, involved not only the insiders but also the communities that live in the neighborhood that, due to their peripheral position, are often totally excluded from the processes of creation and cultural fruition.

The members of the collective of Spazio Y are: Paolo Assenza (artist), Ilaria Goglia (art historian), Silvia Marsano, Germano Serafini (artist).
