Data and contact details

Born in 1954, attended Art College and Beaux Arts Academy in Rome. Studied filmmaking at New York University.

Creative Director in Young & Rubicam until 2002, previously worked as an Art Director in several international advertising agencies like Leo Burnett, McCann-Erickson, Foote Cone & Belding, J.Walter Thompson, TBWA. Won several prizes in advertising events and, for his illustrations, received the 1st prize of New York International Art Directors' Club.

PASCAREDDI

"Pascareddi" in Calabrian dialect means small puppets. This narration made with puppets is about a shepherd lecturing his sheep.

1988 - Antichi Arsenali, Amalfi.

‘O MARE È MMARE / SEA IS SEA

28 images made with a pen nib to tell stories of people on the sea.

E MARIO DISSE: “NON FACCIA QUELLA FACCIA”/AND MARIO SAID: "DON'T MAKE THAT FACE"

Strange faces are shown/showed here. Their fixed gazes, their natural lack of expressivity makes them look like globefish behind the crystal glass of the aquarium. However, their malevolent and sinister look makes them similar to the man, and to the woman too. In any case, be they humans or fishes, their restlessness reminds a conduct of life not exactly crystal clear and fueled by vices, fixations, manias and extraordinary appetites. Are they monsters or victims? For sure, they are dark witnesses of the malaises of our times.
